Maxwells
Maxwells

Way back in the early 70’s, when it was nigh impossible to find a decent burger or grill in London, Brian Stein set forth to open Maxwell’s Hampstead. His concept was simple: a restaurant with a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere where friendly staff would serve these now famous burgers. It worked and it worked well, attracting the likes of Peter Cooke, Dudley Moore and Peter Sellers from the word go.
Come the 80’s, after a decade of the West End coming to Maxwell’s, clearly it was time to bring a bit of Hampstead to the West End... enter Maxwell’s Covent Garden. Surrounded by shops, offices, theatres and the Royal Opera House, it was an instant hit with a buzzy West End mix of residents, workers and visitors, many of whom loyally still frequent Maxwell’s today.
Once famed for simply its delicious grill bases dishes, Maxwell’s now adds huge salads, prime-cut steaks, fresh fish dishes and a thoroughly reworked children’s menu to the list. Call it healthy indulgence or call it giving you big plates of freshly prepared food you want, when you want.
Maxwells  is ideal for large groups.
